Louis Olivancia
Louis Olivencia was born in N.Y.C. m Oct.14, 1955. he studied in the U.SA and specialized
in Graphic Design In 1975, he went to Berlin to work as Fashion Designer At this point Mr
Olivencia started to paint because he was fascinated by Europe as a new world to explore
with its exuberant alchemy of color The Iove he has for Klimts' art, the prerapliaelites,
the art deco movement miniatures and the realism of Anterican art shows through in his
painting. He works with gouache and gold powder pigment, to achieve the traslucency needed
m his work. he has made Ferrara Italv his home base since 1979, but moves about frequently
due to engagements. His studio is located at. Via Brasavola, 22 not far from the Palazzo
Schifanoia whose magical frescos rich with the joy of living attracted him
